Dave Beare

Dave was born in Dayton, Ohio, and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute, now known as Kettering University. He enjoyed a distinguished 38-year career with General Motors/Delphi, primarily in engineering and management roles, with 23 of those years spent in Detroit.

Upon retirement, Dave and his wife, Rhonda, sought a change of pace and relocated to Kendallville to escape the hustle and bustle of big city life. Dave lives by the motto, “You can retire from your day job, but God asks you to do His work until He calls you home.” Embracing this calling, he transitioned from a four-year period of unemployment to serve as the Business Manager at Trinity UMC in Kendallville, later taking on a similar role at Church Doctor Ministries.

Dave and Rhonda have been happily married for 20 years and have one daughter and one son between them.
